PREPARING FOR YOUR HEADSHOT
There’s a lot more to having your photo taken than just turning up at the studio and smiling at the camera, so its worthwhile spending the time to prepare yourself properly.
YOUR WARDROBE. The first question we get asked is "what should I wear?" Well, what you wear for your headshot photograph is just as important to the overall image as your expression. Clothing should simply enhance you and your features and keep the focus of attention on your face. We ask everyone to bring along a number of different outfits with them in various styles and colours. That way we can see what looks good on you, works well on camera and is appropriate for your target audience. We ask you to bring mainly tops but some bottoms too if you want some 3/4 length shots). We have 3 simple wardrobe rules:

You have to love it!
We don’t want to shoot you in anything that you don’t feel comfortable wearing. If you don’t feel comfortable, it will show in the photos, so please consider wearing something you rock in.
RULE #2
If you don't bring, it we can’t shoot it.
If you're contemplating wearing something, bring it with you. Have some fun and accessorize. If you feel your wardrobe is missing something, go shopping. Keep the tags on - you can always return what you don’t want.
RULE #3
Be yourself.
Bring your personality into the shot. We love bold colours, so we suggest bringing a wide variety that reflects you. It’s amazing how many times something has looked amazing on camera that we didn’t initially think would work. And vice versa.

What's included in a headshot session?
Every headshot session includes a guided photoshoot, professional lighting, posing direction, and a curated gallery where you select your favourite images. Your selected images are professionally retouched to ensure a polished, natural look that still feels like you.
I am awkward in front of a camera. Do you help with posing?
Absolutely. Most of my clients say this before their session. I guide you through posing, posture, facial expressions, and micro-adjustments so you look confident and natural. My job is to make the experience relaxed and enjoyable while capturing your best angles.
What should I wear for my headshot?
Solid colours, well-fitted clothing, and simple patterns work best. I recommend bringing 2–3 outfit options so we can choose what photographs best. Once you book, you will receive a preparation guide with wardrobe tips to help you feel confident and camera-ready.
How long des a headshot take?
Most headshot sessions take 15–45 minutes depending on the package and number of looks. The session is designed to be efficient while still allowing time for outfit changes and different expressions.
How many photos will I receive?
After your session, you will receive a gallery of the best images from the shoot. Your package includes a set number of professionally retouched images, and you may purchase additional images if you love more than expected.
Do you retouch the images?
Yes. All selected images receive professional retouching including skin smoothing, colour correction, and small distractions removal while keeping your appearance natural and authentic.
When will I receive my images?
Your proof gallery is typically delivered within 2–4 days, and final retouched images are delivered within 3–5 business days after your selections are made.
Can I use my headshot for LinkedIn, websites, and marketing?
Yes. Your headshots include a commercial usage license, meaning you can use them for LinkedIn, websites, press features, speaking engagements, marketing materials, and social media.
Do you offer corporate team headshots?
Yes. I offer both in-studio and on-location corporate headshots for teams and businesses. Consistent, professional images help elevate your brand across your website, LinkedIn, and marketing materials.
What if I need my headshot quickly?
